Job description

  • Responsible for taking and processing orders, enquiries & general queries over the telephone or by fax/email.
  • To ensure that telephone calls are answered quickly within 3 rings.
  • To offer our customers an excellent level of customer service by dealing with them efficiently & quickly, including returning calls. Part of this role would involve sourcing material from other companies, as well as our usual suppliers in order to maintain excellent service levels. .
  • To provide customers with information about all relevant products whenever there is an opportunity via pro – active calling and as a consequence of the customers calling Blackheath Products.
  • To e-mail any large enquiries or orders to the relevant ASM so that they are fully aware of developments in their area – including New Customer leads.
  • To work closely with the ASMs using the CRM system processing call reports, sending out samples and completing ‘to dos’.
  • Liaise with our Accounts, Warehouse and Transport departments to ensure customers receive the best service at all times
  • To perform specific administration roles within the office as instructed by the Line Manager – such as filing, sorting through enquires, quoting customers. Updating samples, mail shots, information gathering, etc.
  • To enthusiastically get behind and involved in any promotional activities instructed by the Line Manager/Director.
  • To participate enthusiastically in any training product or system provided by the company or its suppliers.
  • To help develop sales from existing customers and actively research and contact potential new customers.
  • As with all staff roles, this job description will evolve and there is a need to undertake different and additional duties from time to time in order to perform the role satisfactorily.

Blackheath Products have a vacancy for an experienced class 2 driver.  Our regular delivery days are Monday - Friday and will involve nights out.

During the shift there will be multi-drops involved (10-25 on average). 

Heavy lifting will be required.
