Blackheath Products Company Update

Blackheath Products Ltd, the West Midlands worktop and decorative surface distributor has become an Employee Owned Trust.

Employee ownership is one of the fastest growing business succession solutions in the UK, where there are now more than 1,000 employee-owned businesses, with the sector more than doubling in the past three years.

Based in Halesowen, Blackheath Products holds over £7.5 million of decorative laminates and solid surfaces stock, which it distributes across the UK and Ireland to kitchen centres, shopfitters and furniture manufacturers.

Ian Foster, whose family had owned Blackheath Products Ltd for over 90 years commented:

“For over 4 generations my family have worked with so many amazing colleagues and it`s a privilege to now be able to give all the current employees of Blackheath Products the opportunity to make it their own business within an Employee Owned Trust.”
